God Has Given us His Love as a Gift.

Spiritual Gift of Life

We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it's serving, then serve; if it's teaching, then teach; if it's to encourage, then provide encouragement; if it's giving, then provide generously; if it's to lead, do it diligently; if it's to show mercy, do it cheerfully.” (Romans 12:6-8, stress mine)

Motivational Gifts

. Prophesying
. Serving
. Teaching
. Encouraging
. Giving
. Leading
. Showing Mercy
. Discovering Your Motivation

If you look at the things you do, examine the why behind it. this is. How you’ll identify which one you are motivated by.

All these gifts are wonderful and have a place. Some could sound more important than others, but that's not true. It’s just our ego getting in the way.

The Bible says to desire the best gifts, and the best gift is the one you need at the time.

What is the best spiritual gift?

“So you should earnestly desire the most useful gifts. however, now let me show you a way of life that is best of all.” (1 Corinthians 12:31 NLT, stress mine)

Gifts are great, but it’s more important to know how to love. God has given us His love as a gift. we love it because He loved us first. without love all the actions supposed to be gifts are empty.

There’s a reason the following portion of Scripture is so widely known. Love is the best gift. Love is what matters most.

“If I might speak all the languages of earth and of angels, however, didn’t love others, I would only be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such religion that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing. If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it; but if I didn’t love others, I would have gained nothing. Love is patient and kind.

Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. it is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through each circumstance.

Prophecy and speaking in unknown languages and special data will become useless. but love will last forever! now our knowledge is partial and incomplete, and even the gift of prophecy reveals only part of the whole picture! but once the time of perfection comes, these partial things can become useless.” (1 Corinthians 13:1-10 NLT)

“Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.” 1 Corinthians 13:13 NLT, emphasis mine)

Seek to love above all else, and the gifts will find their place because God is love.

What Are Spiritual Gifts? Understanding the Types and Discovering Yours

Spiritual gifts are something each believer is given when they receive the gift of salvation. just as the gift of salvation is by grace through faith, so are the spiritual gifts. Our God is so generous. he is constantly giving us things.

“Christ has generously divided out his gifts to us.” (Ephesians 4:7 CEV)

It’s His grace at work in our lives.

3 kinds of spiritual Gifts

There are 3 forms of religious gifts. These gifts aren't one thing we tend to possess; they're God’s supernatural ability spotlight in our lives in numerous ways in which. The Bible calls it a manifestation.

“There are different forms of gifts, however, the same Spirit distributes them. There are different forms of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and everyone, it's the same God at work. now to each one, the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.” (1 Corinthians 12:4-7 NIV)

There are ministry gifts, manifestation gifts, and motivational gifts. All believers take part in these gifts in numerous ways.

Let’s look at every one of them separately.

Gifts of the Holy Spirit: Ministry

The ministry gifts are the way God works with what believers do to serve others and meet their needs. It’s how we minister or ad-minister the love, grace, and truth of God to others. To administer is to apply and bring it into use.

“And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.” (1 Corinthians 12:5 KJV)

The Bible provides an inventory of those attending gifts and their purpose.

“And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and lecturers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and the data of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;” (Ephesians 4:11-13, stress mine)

Many refer to them as the 5-fold ministry. Not everyone is called to the ministry but in 1 Corinthians 12:28, it adds a gift for helping.

God gracefully empowers us all to help one another by His Spirit.

Beyond the 5-Fold Ministry Gifts

. Apostles
. Prophets
. Evangelists
. Pastors
. Teachers
. Helpers

Gifts of the Holy Spirit: Manifestation

Manifestation gifts are the ones people tend to sensationalize and therefore disqualify themselves from enjoying. In one Corinthians 12:7, it says God provides to every one of us, not just some. this means everyone.

“Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. to one there is given through the Spirit a message of knowledge, to another a message of knowledge by means of identical Spirit, to another religion by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues. all these are the work of the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines.
(1 Corinthians 12:7-11, stress mine)

This supernatural demonstration of the Holy Spirit’s power is to serve others as well as minister to ourselves. It’s commonly thought these gifts are only to minister to others but that’s limiting the grace of God. The Spirit will give you a message of wisdom when you ask for one in your life just as easily as He can give one to you to deliver to someone else. Let the holy spirit minister to you also.

These manifestation gifts are how God works through us bringing joy and fruitfulness in every one of our lives.

9 Manifestations of the Holy Spirit

. A message of wisdom
. A message of knowledge
. Faith
. Gifts of healing
. Miraculous powers
. Prophecy
. Distinguishing between spirits
. Speaking in different kinds of tongues
. The interpretation of tongues

Gifts of the Holy Spirit: motivational

The motivational gifts are how the Spirit of Grace moves through us motivating our words and actions. It’s a filter we’re given for our perspective shaping how we relate to and serve others.

The Kingdom of Jehovah

The kingdom of God could be a central theme of the Gospels as well as other new testament books. it's the message that John the Baptist declared in preparation for Jesus (Mt 3:2Mk 1:14-15), what Jesus instructed the disciples in the 40 days between his resurrection and ascension (Ac 1:3), and what Paul is recorded as proclaiming at the conclusion of the book of Acts (Ac 28:31).

Love and Peace
A kingdom is a place where someone has a rule or governance. the same is true of the kingdom of God. jesus said in his prayer: “Your kingdom come, you will be done, on earth as it is in heaven” (Mt 6:10). the kingdom of God is wherever God’s can is dispensed.

The old testament theme of Yahweh’s rule and reign is another way of describing the kingdom of God. The psalmist speaks of Yahweh’s kingdom as an everlasting realm that endures throughout all generations (Ps 145:13). Isaiah declares that Yahveh can save (Isa 33:22) and speaks of a time when God will be worshiped in all the earth (Isa 2).

During the primary century AD, many Jews believed that the Messiah would initiate this reign, which is based on passages like Malachi 3:1-5; Zechariah 9:9-10; Isaiah 9:1-7; and Isaiah 52:13-53:12. They additionally believed that the kingdom would be established through political or military means (compare Mt 26:51-53; Lk 22:47-53) - but Jesus ushered in the kingdom in a radically unexpected way. He announced that the kingdom had come upon those whom he freed from demons (Mt 12:28); he taught that the kingdom should be received like a child (Mk 10:15) and explained that it belongs to the impoverished (Lk 6:20). the Nazarene declared the dominion of God as a present reality that could be knowledgeable by those he taught and to whom he ministered.

Jesus’ teaching also assumed the kingdom was a future reality. while his disciples expected the kingdom to appear immediately, Jesus changed their expectations by telling them a parable a couple of rulers who had to leave before he could return to his kingdom (Lk 19:11-27). He represented what smart and trustworthy servants may knock off in the meantime. Paul spoke of the kingdom as something that could be inherited (1 Co 6:9-10) and that doesn't perish (1 Co 15:50). These examples testify to the kingdom of God as a future reality.

To borrow the phrase made fashionable by George Eldon Ladd, the kingdom of God is “already/not nevertheless.” God’s kingdom has a dual dimension. Jesus initiated the kingdom of earth, and where God’s can is carried out, the kingdom could be a reality. the kingdom, however, had not been totally manifested in Jesus’ day - nor has it in ours. we don't yet live in a world where God’s will is a complete reality. we feel the tension of experiencing God’s kingdom in our lives and communities before it's fully realized. we still see unbelief, brokenness, and sin, telling us God’s will isn't yet totally expressed.

Many believers neglect to focus on the kingdom as a present reality. Their concern centers on the future reality of getting to heaven - but this focus can easily sever the relationship between the Christian life and the life here and now. once Jesus prayed, “Your kingdom come, you will be done, on earth because it is in heaven” (Mt 6:10), he asked that God would bring the expertise of heaven to earth. Through Jesus, God’s reign, rule, and power are available to us nowadays, not just in the distant future. the present reality of the dominion of God ought to prompt America to look at our lives and raise what areas we've got not nevertheless relinquished to God’s rule.

On a bigger level, the notion of God’s kingdom should lead us to look at each of our neighborhoods and the global community and raise what lies outside of God’s desires. where are people not being treated with the dignity and honor they be as God’s image-bearers?

As we anticipate the time once all things will be made totally new (Rev. 21:4-5), we will actively participate within the kingdom of God now (Mt 4:17). As we surrender to the reign of God, {we are going to} begin to experience the kingdom of God now - as God’s will is done on earth as it is in heaven (Mt 6:10).

What questions will this reality of God’s kingdom prompt you to raise concerning your community?

Tell me what is Christian

Christian should be in peace and pray

What is a Christian? ‘Christian’ is the name that the people of the city of Antioch gave to the followers of Christ (Acts 11:26). So, a very short answer would be Someone who follows Christ. Yet what does it mean to follow Christ?

A Christian follows Christ

First of all, it means you trust in Christ. You trust Him to be your Savior. It means that you believe you are a sinner, but Christ died for you on the cross and so He paid for your sins. He rose again on the third day and He is now your Lord. So, a Christian does not belong to him/herself but belongs to Christ the Lord. If you truly believe this, you also want to be baptized. Baptism is the mark that you belong to Christ.

In Romans 6:4 Paul writes about the meaning of being part of Christ, which is also the meaning of being baptized: “We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life“.

A Christian life the new life

So, a Christian is someone who died with Christ, but now ‘lives a new life’, because he/she is part of the resurrected Christ. That new life starts right here and now. That new life is something you don’t have to make yourself; it is a gift of God! You are being reborn through the Holy Spirit (See also John 3:1-21). And because you are born-again through the Holy Spirit you can now begin following Christ.

Therefore, Paul writes in the same chapter Romans 6:11-13: “In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus. Therefore, don't let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires. Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness”

A Christian wants to do the will of God

If you're alive with Christ you will want to follow Christ and do the desire of God. There is also still part of our old self which still wants to sin, but since we received the Holy Spirit and the new life through Him, we can fight against our sins and start following Christ. Therefore, a Christian is not without sin, but he/she will still try to follow Christ. And so, we are back to where we began: A Christian is someone who follows Christ.
